Homelessness Week, taking place from 3–9 August 2026, is a vital campaign aimed at raising awareness about the harsh realities of homelessness in Australia and promoting actions that can lead to lasting change.
Currently, more than 122,400 people across Australia are without a safe, secure, and affordable home. This group includes individuals sleeping rough, living in cars, staying in shelters, residing on friends' couches, or inhabiting unsuitable housing conditions.
At WHCL, we encounter these situations daily, and we firmly believe that no one should have to experience such hardship. Everyone deserves a stable home where they can thrive.
We are committed to ending homelessness by providing wraparound services to those experiencing homelessness and engaging in advocacy efforts to drive meaningful, systemic change.
This Homelessness Week, we invite you to explore our services and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness. Your awareness and support can make a significant difference in their lives.
